Big News in Small Packages: Our New Scales Explained

Scale is a way of shrinking (or enlarging) real-life objects while keeping everything in proportion. In architecture, this helps us represent buildings, gardens, and even entire sites in manageable, practical sizes.
When a model or drawing is "to scale," every part is resized by the same ratio. For example, at a scale of 1:100, 1 cm in the model equals 100 cm (or 1 m) in real life. The smaller the scale (e.g. 1:200), the more building you can fit into a single model – but with less visible detail.
Introducing Our New Scale Options
Our original ‘Archetype’ models were all created at 1:150, a happy medium that worked well for many typical UK homes. But as our commissions grew to include everything from tiny cottages to sprawling country houses, we realised one size doesn't fit all.
So, we’ve introduced three carefully chosen scales – each designed to get the best result for your specific home or space.
Meso Scale (1:150) 🧡
The OG. Our signature scale – a perfect middle ground between detail and overall shape.
Ideal for: Most standard UK homes
Real-life max size: 25m x 25m x 25m
Best for: Capturing good detail without overwhelming the form

Macro Scale (1:200) 💚
Think of this as zooming out. A smaller scale means we can model larger homes and more extensive plots.
Ideal for: Larger or more complex homes
Real-life max size: 35m x 35m x 35m
Best for: Seeing the bigger picture

Micro Scale (1:100) 💛
Now we zoom in. A larger scale lets us include finer detail, perfect for smaller or more compact homes.
Ideal for: Bijoux homes and architectural gems
Real-life max size: 17.5m x 17.5m x 17.5m
Best for: Showing off intricate details and character

Why It Matters
We want every model to feel just right – to balance beauty, character, and accuracy. With these new scale options, we can now model any home or special place in a way that brings out its best features.
Whether it’s a sweeping modern build or a snug terraced house, we’ve got a scale that fits.
Price
The scale we model at does not change the price of the model; this is because at the Micro scale we will be putting lots of effort in to get the fine details depicted just right, where as at the other end of the spectrum, with our Macro models, we’ll have a lot more footprint to cover!
